Suspected drugs seized in police raid at Fordingbridge address

SUSPECTED Class A drugs, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia were seized in a raid in Fordingbridge.

At around 7am on Friday (November 17), Hampshire Police officers executed a drugs warrant at an address at Pembridge House, Salisbury Road.

After forcing entry to the property, several items were seized, including suspected Class A drugs, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia, a spokesperson said.

A 32-year-old man from Fordingbridge has since been interviewed in connection with the suspected offence of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug. The investigation and enquiries continue.

“Involved in today’s operation were Ringwood and Fordingbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team, the New Forest Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, along with Method of Entry officers,” the spokesperson went on.

“Officers have also linked up with partner agencies, including Sovereign Housing Association, who are working hard to protect vulnerable residents in the area.

“They have already issued a notice to two people, without tenancy rights, who were found inside the property this morning.”

New Forest District Commander, Chief Inspector Nick Marsden, said: “Officers continue to tackle drug-related activity across the New Forest, but can only do so with the support and information from our communities.

“As the eyes and ears on the ground, please continue to let us know about activity in the area in which you live.

“The more information you share with us, the more we can develop this, and the more action we can take, including the execution of warrants and the targeting of criminals causing the most harm to our communities.”

Anyone with information about drug dealing in their neighbourhood should contact police on 101, or report online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, always calling 999 in an emergency. They can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
