SALISBURY’S next generation of entrepreneurs will take over Guildhall Square this weekend as the popular Teenage Market returns to the city centre.
The event, taking place on Sunday, May 17 from 10am to 3pm, will see young traders, creators and business minds showcase their products alongside Salisbury’s busy Sunday car boot sale.
From handmade crafts and artwork to baked goods, jewellery and original business ideas, the market promises a chance to discover fresh local talent, and organisers are urging the public to come along and support it.
The Teenage Market is designed to give young people a free platform to test out business ideas, build confidence and gain experience selling directly to customers.
Open to traders aged between 13 and 21, or up to 25 for young people with SEND, the initiative has become a launchpad for aspiring entrepreneurs across the country.
Organisers said the Salisbury event welcomes “a whole variety of traders from painters to bakers and candlestick makers” and offers young people a rare opportunity to raise the profile of their brand in a busy city centre setting.
Traders create or source their own products and stalls expected to feature everything from homemade gifts and fashion items to art, cakes and accessories.
Preference for pitches has been given to young people living in Salisbury and across Wiltshire.
