OFFICERS arrested two people in Downton following an investigation into a series of attempted quad bike thefts across Dorset.
Working alongside officers in Wiltshire, officers from Dorset stopped a vehicle in Downton yesterday (April 6).
Both the driver and passenger were arrested by Dorset officers for multiple offences, including attempted theft, theft of tools, possession of an offensive weapon, and driving without valid insurance.

One of the occupants was also wanted for failing to appear in court.
“The vehicle involved has been seized, and the two detainees have been taken into custody, where they will remain whilst we continue to make our enquiries and gather evidence,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.
These arrests come after Dorset Police officers launched an investigation into break-ins across rural north Dorset where quad bikes have been targeted.
